Το παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα σκάκι στην Πιερία

Το παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα σκάκι  διοργανώνεται στην Πιερία και θα έχει διάρκεια 9 ημέρες. Το πρωτάθλημα λαμβάνει χώρα στο πεντάστερο ξενοδοχείο Mediterranean Village Palace, όπου και διαμένουν οι αποστολές.
Σήμερα στις 3:30 το μεσημέρι θα γίνει η τελετή έναρξης και κάθε μέρα οι σκακιστικοί αγώνες θα ξεκινούν στις 4 το μεσημέρι μέχρι τις 8-9 το βράδυ. Η τελετή λήξης και οι απονομές θα γίνουν την Τρίτη 4 Νοεμβρίου, στις 9 το βράδυ.

 FIDE World Senior Championships started

The 24th FIDE World Senior Championships have started at the Olympus Riviera of Katerini in Greece, with the participation of 163 players from 40 countries and a prize fund of €20.000 for the winners!   The event is held under excellent playing conditions in the conference center of the 5-star "Mediterranean Village" resort hotel.
